From the Elizabeth Zimmermann school of knitting,
Charisa Martin Cairn's approach to patterns are essentially guides rather than stitch-by-stitch patterns.
Her approach is pretty simple: learn good technique, understand your stitches, and listen to the yarn. Huh? Right. Play with the yarn and see what it does best. For instance, a hemp worsted weight yarn generally won't work well for a lace shawl - but would be great for a pillbox hat using a seed stitch that creates a firm fabric.
Most of all, Charisa encourages a sense of adventure and play as you loop-the-loops-on-your-needles.
The offerings here are guides to building what you want, how you want. Knitting is created a stitch at a time,
you ought to be able to get it just the way you want it!
Additional patterns will be available for purchase in the future. But in the meantime, download one of the free patterns and have fun!
